I’m critical of boomers because of the condescension and dismissive attitudes that almost invariably come across from people of that generation when those younger raise an opinion they disagree with, particularly when it’s about anything that calls for a better world (for themselves or others), whether it be around housing, inequality, race, or climate change.

Of course I love plenty of boomers too - my father amongst them. But those attitudes urghhhh.

That’s where the “okay boomer” comes from - lack of respect from boomers to younger generations begets lack of respect in return.

Just by way of example - the way I see my 20 year old daughter condescended to by boomers is the worst. It is very often just farkin rude.

And frankly, they deserve more rudeness back than “okay boomer”.

Personally I think that’s the nicest way of responding to that kind of bull from that generation. My two cents 🤷‍♀️🙃
