It’s truly heartbreaking where our Western world has ended up and how much we fool ourselves by pretending there is no better way. My husband talks about us being “ground zero” as we try to impart something better to our kids / try not to leave them traumatised as our own parents did to us. That lack of village is something we can’t fix on our own though. In the modern era, with no one else around us understanding what we’re going on about, it feels quite impossible. Impossibly sad.
